The thesis

Attention is rented. Systems are owned.

What we believe about marketing for established service businesses, and why it decides the order we work in.

For most of the last decade, growth meant buying attention: more ads, more posts, more leads. It worked while attention was cheap. It is not cheap any more, and AI has made producing more of it nearly free, which means it is worth less every month.

01

Attention is rented. Systems are owned.

Ad spend stops working the day you stop paying. A database you actually work, a referral network and a name AI assistants recommend keep working when the budget pauses. We put money into the second list first.

02

AI makes average marketing free. Judgment gets expensive.

Everyone now has the same models, the same templates and the same ad tools. Producing more is no longer an advantage. Knowing what to make, what to cut and in what order is.

03

Your database is your cheapest channel.

Most established service businesses have years of past enquiries, lost quotes and one-off customers that nobody has contacted since. Working that list properly is usually the fastest pipeline available.

04

Being the answer in AI search is the new page one.

Buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers for a shortlist before they search. If you are not cited there, you are not considered. That is won with clear, specific, structured pages, not volume.

05

Speed to lead beats size of budget.

The business that answers in minutes wins work the bigger spender paid to generate. Fixing response time is cheaper than any campaign.

06

One channel is a tactic. Engines that share data are a business.

Inbound, outbound and partner work run by separate suppliers each report a win while cost per job rises. Run as one system with one number, each engine makes the others cheaper.

So we work in this order.

  1. 01

    Insight

Know who buys, why they buy, and what they nearly bought instead. Customer calls, CRM data and search behaviour before any spend.

  2. 02

    Convert

Fix the leaks in what already arrives: speed to lead, the quote follow-up, the landing page. It is the cheapest growth there is.

  3. 03

    Capture

Be the obvious answer when demand already exists, in Google, in AI search and in the referral conversation.

  4. 04

    Create

Then create new demand with outbound and content, because now it has somewhere to land.

  5. 05

    Keep

Every workflow, list, audience and asset lives in your accounts. Run it with us, or without us.
